The next stage is called Plateau, this is when more and more sexual tensions are created in her body. Now, this is where foreplay is very important. Foreplay will transform excitement into the plateau stage, and lead a woman to the next level of arousal. A big difference between men and women, is that men are ready for sex as soon as they are excited, we have an erection and we are good to go. Women are ready for sex only at the end of the plateau stage. If you start making love to your partner when she is really ready, you have a lot more chance to give her an orgasm. Because women don’t really need more time than men to have an orgasm, they actually need more time and stimulation in order to be ready for sex!

The other two stages are the orgasm and the resolution. Keep in mind that your partner can’t reach orgasm if she did not go threw the plateau stage. If you start the sexual act before she is really ready, it will be very hard to bring her to orgasm. That’s a big secret right here!

So now that we know why foreplay is so important, what is real foreplay? Well, first I would like to tell you what is not foreplay. Real foreplay does not involve genital touch. Keep your hands off her clitoris or vagina until she is well into the plateau stage. And giving you a hand job is not foreplay as well. Foreplay is not the same as oral sex. Oral sex is great! But it’s another kind of genital stimulation, it’s not foreplay. Foreplay should be slow, take your time, and foreplay can begin anywhere.

Dirty talking is a very good form of foreplay and can easily take a woman from excitement to the plateau stage. What I personally like a lot is reading dirty stories to her or listening to them on mp3 files, that’s usually a winner! The gentle touching as a mentioned in secret #5 is also very powerful. Kissing, tickling (you can surprise your partner with a feather or a cat toy, very cheap but lots of potential), a sensual massage is always good, with music and candles, you can give her a bath or go in the shower with her. Teasing is also a very good way to build sexual tension. Foreplay will depend on you and your partner’s personality and tastes. Try to use your imagination, and most important, try to enjoy it.
